Rebecca Received the WIPP President's Award

Rebecca Boenigk received the Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) President's Award at their 2019 Business Leadership Conference. The WIPP President's Award is a new award for the organization. The recipient is chosen by the WIPP President and CEO to celebrate and elevate a WIPP member who has gone above and beyond to support and sustain WIPP's mission as the nation's leading advocacy organization for women-owned businesses.

"Rebecca Boenigk has been a stalwart of support for WIPP since 2003," said Candace Waterman, WIPP President and CEO. "I wanted to honor Rebecca with this award not only for her years of advocacy work on behalf of our members, but also her commitment to our WIPP Board of Directors."

Rebecca, who serves as a WIPP Board Member, has been actively involved in public policy for more than 20 years, fighting for policies that help women small business owners grow and thrive. She has over 30 years of experience in research, development, design, and the manufacturing of ergonomic seating and furniture with expertise in the areas of finance, strategic planning, HR, operations, and diversity.

Rebecca serves as a director and treasurer of the Women Impacting Public Policy (WIPP) Board, serves as a director on the Business and Institutional Furniture Manufacturer's Association (BIFMA) Board, served as President of BIFMA, served on the Board of Directors for the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), is a past director of the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas Board, is a National Founding Partner of WIPP, served as a director of the PureColor Board, and served on the Board of Directors of the Institute for the Economic Empowerment of Women(IEEW).
